In the dimly lit corridors of the human psyche lies a fascination with the macabre, where shadows dance with whispered secrets and fear lurks in the most unexpected corners. Classic horror stories beckon us into realms where the ordinary twists into the extraordinary, where ancient evils stir and the line between reality and nightmare blurs. From the chilling depths of Edgar Allan Poe's gothic tales to the supernatural terrors of H.P. Lovecraft, classic horror literature has woven a tapestry of dread that continues to haunt our imaginations. Prepare to journey into the heart of darkness, where every creaking floorboard and ghostly whisper becomes a harbinger of terror, in the timeless realm of classic horror.

In Halloween III: Season Of The Witch, mustachioed casanova Tom Atkins drinks his way through a dark conspiracy involving a popular line of Halloween masks, the eerily quiet town where they're produced, and robots. I've reviewed Halloween III on this site before for one of my October challenges, so there's not a ton more that I can say about it. It's a real fun Halloween movie even if (or perhaps because) it has nothing to do with the rest of the series. Although most of it is pretty silly, it's aged well and certainly has more fans now than when it first came out. Halloween III gets 4 out of 6 beers.

The Grindhouse Film Festival is presented by Eric Caidin and Brian J. Quinn at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles and features the screening of rare 35mm prints of cult and exploitation films from the 1960s through the 1980s, many of which have not been publicly shown since the drive-ins and inner city grindhouse theaters faded away twenty years ago. For one low price attendees get two rare films, a reel of rare exploitation trailers, a free raffle, and very often appearances by the directors, cast and crew of the films being shown.
In addition to our events in Los Angeles, we also do special screenings in other cities from time to time (Las Vegas & San Francisco so far). If you want to see the Grindhouse Fest come to your town and you know a theater that would be interested in running these bizarre films, get in touch with us.
The Deuce may be dead, but we're doing our best to keep the spirit of 42nd Street alive in the 21st Century!
