THE MIDNIGHT SWIM is the debut feature film directed by Sarah Adina Smith. Smith also directed Buster’s Mal Heart which was a film that made a great impression on me. I have always heard that THE MIDNIGHT SWIM was another film that I had to see, and now I can say that I am happy that I did.

Bollywood has produced plenty of horror films over the years but they have had precious little distribution beyond Indian home video companies, particularly in English speaking countries. One of the few to pick up the gauntlet during the DVD era was international horror specialist label Mondo Macabro, who released a trio of fondly-remembered releases under the moniker Bollywood Horror Collection that delved into the back catalog of the Ramsay Family, India's premier specialists in horror fare.
